Financial Services Officer (FSO):

JOB FUNCTION:

Under supervision of the Branch Manager, markets the organization’s products and services within clearly defined policies and procedures. Promotes, up sells and cross sells the full range of lending and investment vehicles with emphasis on consumer loans, mortgages, credit card products, lines of credit, deposit and investment vehicles and sundry services. Acts as the liaison between assigned member clients and various credit union departments (i.e. operations, accounting). Acts as a resource for actively soliciting membership growth opportunities by following up on incoming credit checks, staff referrals, sales initiatives and member client inquiries. Actively participates in all branch campaigns and promotions and champions the organization’s sales oriented culture by performing all aspects of the mandate. Maintains a high profile and image as the financial institution of choice in the branch trading area by establishing member and non-member relationships and business contacts and by assisting other branch team members resolving non-routine customer questions and inquiries.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Minimum of 3 years experience at the personal banker level preferably in a credit union
  • Maintained a minimum of $20,000 personal lending limit and $220,000 mortgage limit for more than 2 years
  • Mutual funds license an asset for part-time
  • Mutual funds license required for full-time
  • Solid understanding of full array of all banking products and services
  • Good attention to detail and understands importance of accuracy in all areas of work
  • Familiar with product pricing and its impact on net income/bottom line

  • Demonstrated results in growing a segmented book of business

Branch Manager:

JOB FUNCTION:

Manages the overall operation of the Georgetown Branch, including investment and loan portfolios; comprised both of small business and consumer oriented loans; initiates action to improve growth and development of branch loan and deposit portfolios; manages directly or indirectly all branch staff; implements marketing plans for product and service promotion; and analyses financial statements and prepares and submits reports as required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Minimum of 5 years branch management experience
  • Maintained a minimum of $20,000 personal lending limit and $220,000 mortgage limit for more than 2 years
  • Maintained a minimum of $50,000 personal lending limit and $300,000 mortgage limit for more than 2 years
  • Solid understanding of full array of all banking products and services including an active Mutual Fund license
  • Good attention to detail and understands importance of accuracy in all areas of work
  • Familiar with product pricing and its impact on net income/bottom line

Member Services Representative:

JOB FUNCTION:

Performs a variety of duties relating to the promotion of sales of cash and non cash related deposits products and services. Analyzes member needs and assists members to utilize the products and services which best meet those needs; cross sells all products and services and fosters relationship building through service excellence. Processes all member transactions and maintains up to date knowledge on all branch products and services.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

    • Minimum of 1-2 years work experience in the branch having broad knowledge of all areas required
    • Ability to proactively market Credit Union products to new members and increase market share
    • Ability to cross sell products to existing Credit Union members and increase wallet share
    • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and understands the importance of accuracy in all areas of work
    • Excellent time management skills required as this position will encompass various demands

    PEOPLE SKILLS

    • Exceptional understanding of the importance of branch service & understands how to satisfy the needs of the branch team members
    • Must be a self-starter and be self-driven
